The city is to pulse with energy and life.
Many did not notice the first changes that came to the city.
Many learnt to except them or to ignore them.
they chose a comfortable life.
Those that didn`t were criminalized.
We became Runners, Messengers to the ones who were criminalized.
They became our clients.
we run on the edge... The Mirrors Edge.

I`m a Runner, I don`t know my real name, so I call myself Ace.
I became a Runner because.... well, it keeps me alive.
right now I`m in the Training Grounds with Faith.
she`s Teaching me how to Run
I slide under obstacles.
Run up a wall onto a higher position.
Jump from Rooftop to Rooftop.
Use a Zipline wearing only a pair of gloves.
Skill Roll to break my fall.
Have fist fights with Faith to help practice fighting.
Learn how to hold and use a Pistol properly, `cause I keep one with me, unlike other Runners.
I juse practice for days on end...
at the end of my training I`m worn out
"your the fastest learner I`ve seen" says Faith
"you should`ve joined the Runners years ago"
"you think so?" I say
"yeah"
"yeah, maybe I should`ve..."
"well, your first Runner Mission is tommorow, you should get some Rest" Faith says
"what? tommorow?!"
"yeah, you graduated Ace"
"awesome!"
"well... you`d better get some Rest"
"oh, right, cya Faith"
